Acton Bridge Parish Council

On Wednesday 10th November an information evening was held in the Parish Rooms about a plan that could give Acton Bridge ultra-fast, 500Mbps broadband. You can find more information on this here.

Please find attached a temporary road closure notice for Acton Lane, Acton Bridge which commences on 8^th November 2021. This is necessary for safety reasons to enable drainage survey and will be carried out by Cheshire West & Chester Council. The works are expected to last for 2 days.

There are some new free Digital Skills courses that will be running at Northwich and Winsford libraries starting from early October.

Cheshire West & Chester Council are working with Warrington and Vale Royal College to provide entry-level courses in their libraries for those who want to improve their IT skills in a more relaxed environment.

Courses range from 1-day sessions to more in-depth learning over several weeks.

All the courses are bookable via the college’s website here or if people would rather book over the phone they can contact the college on 01925 494400.

The roving COVID-19 vaccination clinics taking place across the borough next week are as follows:

Tuesday 24^th August: Dee Point Primary School, Blacon Point Road, Blacon, Chester, CH1 5NF, 11am – 7pm

Saturday 28^th August: Chester City Centre (junction of St John Street and Foregate Street), 11am – 7pm

Sunday 29^th August: Frodsham Festival in the Park (next to main stage), Castle Park, Frodsham, WA6 6SA, 10am – 5pm

All pop-ups will again be delivering both Pfizer and AZ vaccinations

Please note the age bracket has been lowered again, we are offering people 16 years + the vaccination on our roving clinics
